New York, Jan 31 (ANI): Facebook users celebrating Doppelgänger Week are increasingly replacing their profile picture with celebs they resemble.

"It's Doppelgänger week on Facebook; change your profile picture to someone famous (actor, musician, athlete, etc.) you have been told you look like. After you update your profile with your twin or switched at birth photo then cut/paste this to your status," the New York Daily News quoted the news feed announcing Doppelgänger Week on Facebook, as reading.

Those users who have not found their celebrity likeness can use an application Face Double on the social networking site, which will generate their famous lookalike.

The creator of the game Bob Patel told The Huffington Post that he hit the idea after his colleagues teased him about looking like Tom Selleck.

He said: "It's way more popular than "Post a Profile Photo of Your Favorite Norse God Week." Way more." (ANI)
