London, January 25 (ANI): Warring couples are most likely to blow their tempers on January 25, researchers have observed.
Nine out of 10 couples lose their cool on the Doom Day or the last Monday before pay day, usually on the first of the month, a study from bed maker Silentnight found.
As many as 72 per cent of the 1,412 people quizzed confessed having heated arguments in January following a spending spree over Christmas and New Year, weather and lack of sleep.
"After the Christmas and New Year high, we all often come down to reality with a bump in January," the Daily Express quoted Amanda Jones, of Silentnight, as saying.
"We're back at work, it's a long time till pay day and we're exhausted because we're not sleeping properly due to feeling miserable and stressed," she added.
The survey also discovered most couples had fireworks an average eight times a month but the number doubled to 14.6 in January. (ANI)
